The second Three-Yana Retreat will take place at Drala Mountain Center, high in the Colorado Rockies. This gorgeous and isolated wilderness location provides an outstanding container for deep training.
This powerful natural environment is the ground for creating an inner container, bounded by practices and rituals created by Trungpa Rinpoche, and embodied in his living students. Practicing and studying in this container brings the profound teachings life.
During the practice weeks of the retreat there will be days of noble silence. Other days will be functional talking until evening. During study weeks we will begin the day with functional talking and transition to normal conversation at mid-day.
These forms help us support each other as we experience our individual inner journeys. By learning these forms and practices, you will learn how to create environments for others for their journeys.
You might think that a retreat dedicated to silent meditation, study, and contemplation would not be a place to develop lasting relationships.
However, experience shows that going through intensive practice and study together produces deep bonds of friendship. You don’t need a lot of talk to connect with other people.
